The bane of ignorance
Ignorance is bliss; that is a flawed philosophy. If this was true, many would not suffer so much disaster for a lack of knowledge of the source of chaos which greatly afflicts them.
The laws of Nature cannot be violated without recourse. If you lack the knowledge of an earthquake, would it preserve you from its sheer destruction? We all know what would be the result. You would suffer great harm, terror or demise for an existence of which you have no knowledge.
There is no bliss in ignorance, there's only calamity, misery and wretchedness. So, my friends, my acquaintances, my enemies, and my allies. We must rid ourselves of the belief that ignorance frees us from suffering peril at the behest of certain forces on the Earth.
Hosea 4:6 KJVS
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
I do not quote this scripture for an imposition of my belief. The words of the holy book however resonates and reinforces my perspective on this matter.
We are a product of our beliefs and our conduct in life will be a reflection of that truth. Ignorance will always lead to the holistic destruction of whomever lies within its grasps. I have made my case and I am willing to read or listen to your opinions.
You must not however take my emphatic response as a sign of a weakened stance. I insist that ignorance must be eradicated for man to thrive. Why?
A plain truth is your answer. Ignorance binds many by its darkness of no guiding principle. As the holy book has said, the result is destruction. I stand on my belief that enlightenment frees many from such an oppressive tragedy.
